About

My name is Adam Mokan and I am the person responsible for this random mess of information. I’m addicted to learning and new approaches to problems. The purpose of this blog is to simply make notes of things I’m working on. I’m absolutely no expert, but have a strong desire to get better at what I do.

I’m employed as a software developer and have been working in the industry since the late 90s. I currently reside in the beautiful east valley of Phoenix, Arizona.

I started out in development by cutting my teeth on Commodore BASIC in the 80′s, a bit of C in the mid 90′s (along with some Java) and eventually into Microsoft development in the late 90′s.

I spend most of my working day in Visual Studio, developing web-based applications in C# using a combination of web-forms, MVC, SQL Server, Linq, jQuery, WCF, and other common parts of the Microsoft “stack”.

At night, I tinker with new projects and ideas. I’m an avid believer in “agile” and “lean” approaches to development, open-source development, and dynamic languages with elegant frameworks like Ruby and Sinatra.

Aside from the nerd side of me, I have two awesome sons that take up the rest of my time.

I stay busy and like it that way.
